Kruk’s farm is an oddity in town. Part wheat farm, part horse farm, the Kruk Farm reflects the Lord’s love of horses. As a former Knight and horseman, Kruk made his transition from soldier to farmer while still holding onto his horse tradition. Not of much value in the untamed woodlands, he will rent some of his horses to townsfolk who need to make road journeys back to “civilization”.
Kruk has 12 horses. Some of the local children are employed to help take care of the horses and, once a year, Kruk selects his “squire” for the year. Those who fill the role with distinction are frequently given “a letter of endorsement” to join the king’s army as a true squire.
